Class Description: Learn to use OVPR Web site resources including the Midas Databases of Funding Sources and GENIUS/SMARTS (research profile and funding matching system). Prior to attending class, you must set up a GENIUS profile [Main Campus or HSC] if you do not have one already. You will need your GENIUS login and password as well as your UNM NetID and password in order to participate.

:: Proposal Tracking
Class Description: Proposal Tracking is the program used by the Office of Vice President for Research to track proposal and award information for the main campus and branches. There is also the ability for investigators and department administrators to access their data and run their own reports. This class will be a hands-on class to go over the features of the program. It will be most useful for individuals involved with tracking proposals, contracts and grants and for those who run reports for their department.

Important:
1. To take the class you will need to be registered in the GENIUS database. If you do not yet have access or need to reset your password, follow the instructions at http://research.unm.edu/ERA/smarts_genius/index.cfm.
2. You will also need access to your unit's records. If you don't have access or don't remember if you have access, please fill out the form at http://research.unm.edu/ERA/proposal_tracking/p_tracking_req.cfm. Be specific in the Justification section as to what unit(s) you need access to and the purpose.
Note: This class is not applicable to HSC units.
