Technology Control Plan (TCP)

The purpose of a Technology Control Plan (TCP) is to protect technical information which is specifically not identified under EAR as fundamental research or as educational information. A TCP provides guidelines to ensure that the information is not transferred to a foreign person or persons unless approved by license with the Department of State, Office of Defense Controls (ODTC) or Department of Commerce as applicable.

Disclosure of information to a foreign person who is an employee, extended visitor, or student may be considered an export controlled disclosure under ITAR or EAR.
