Purpose and Activities: Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation is
a diversified company with operations in transportation and natural resources.
The foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the territory
these companies serve and in the communities where their employees live. With
the exception of certain organizations and institutions that are national
in scope, the foundation's giving is limited principally to communities in
the midwestern, southwestern and western sectors of the
