UNM Office of Sponsored Projects

The UNM Office of Sponsored Projects partners with the research and academic community to prepare and submit research proposals to a funding agency. Their services include:

  • submitting proposals to a funding agency
  • negotiating contracts and awards
  • ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, OMB Circulars, funding agency requirements, and UNM policies and procedures

Grants Management

Fundamentals: GMT 100
This training covers research administration and compliance at the University of New Mexico’s Main and Branch Campuses. Topics include applying for funding, managing sponsored projects, campus purchasing, keeping audit-friendly records, and staying in compliance. UNM Contract & Grant Accounting

UNM Contract & Grant Accounting supports the research and academic community to manage and administer sponsored projects. Their services include:

  • generating fiscal reports
  • submitting final financial reports, billing, revenue collection and management, audit responses, subrecipient monitoring, and effort certification, FFATA and E-Verify compliance
  • ensuring compliance of expenditures with applicable regulations and guidelines
