About Us

UNM is Committed to promoting and conducting research responsibly.

The Research Ethics and Integrity Program (REIP) promotes awareness, discussion, transparency, training, and analysis of the ethical dimensions of research.

Begun in July 2008, the REIP:
  • Fosters integrity in research by hosting symposia with a theme of research ethics in the spring of each academic year.
  • Responds to changes in federal requirements and guidelines involving research ethics.
  • Works to provide training with research ethics content.
  • Offers consulting service for issues or questions concerning the responsible conduct of research.
  • Through an advisory committee - the Ethics Advisory Roundtable - sets direction and goals for REIP.
  • Through this website, provides resources and expert contacts for additional information and training on research ethics and trends in training.
  • Seeks funding and other support to conduct research on research ethics.
