Required for: UNM Principal Investigators, Research Administrators, Investigators seeking UNM PI status
Frequency: Every 3 years
Delivery Method: ONLINE - LearningCentral GMT 100
IMPORTANT: In order to receive credit for this training, you will need to add this course to your learning plan and complete the course in LearningCentral (requires a UNM Net ID).


The Grants Management Training focuses on:
  • applying for funding,
  • managing sponsored projects,
  • purchasing on campus,
  • keeping records audit-friendly,
  • and staying in compliance.
Successful completion of Grants Management Training is a requirement for all new principal investigators and those investigators seeking PI status for a sponsored project at UNM Main & Branch Campuses.

Active investigators that have not successfully completed Grants Management Training within the past three years are required to complete this course.
